1998 silverado passenger ez entry broken. What seat/vehicle to look for? I've looked thru most of the pages on the bucket seat swap thread, but i didn't really catch any for. I have a '98 2 dr tahoe 4wd and want to put straight bench or 60/40 bench in front of cab. any recommendations on year and models will be easiest swap? You will need the seat risers from the tahoe since your pickup has the bench seat.
You can use any seat you want. Just have heavier modification with some seats as with others. Anything from the 90's will swap around. Anything from the nbs and nnbs will. A seat out of a suburban will only fit in a tahoe if you shift the seat frame left or right. The center console will bolt in but you are going to need the foot which is bolted into. It has a factory buckets with power drivers seat with lumbar and lumber passenger seat. I did the seat swap from a 2002 tahoe to my 1990 extended cab. It is not a simple bolt up project! If you want to do it right you have to weld some relocated mounting brackets. Finally ended up completing my nbs seat swap. Found some great dark pewter leather bucket seats on ebay out of an 06 tahoe. I fabricated seat mounts out of flat bar 1/4.
