I’m 36 ish weeks 3 cm dilated 75 percent effaced. Off and on contractions and baby is basically between my legs. It’s my third pregnancy and i have an induction schedule for 39. So as the post says, i'm apparently 3cm dilated and 75% effaced. Went to be checked and monitored today after having sweep yesterday and losing a lot of mucus plug.
She said not to worry about coming in today if i lose my mucus plug unless i have contractions. These terms refer to your cervix. 3 cm dilated means that the circumference of your cervical opening is 3 cm. Ob did stretch and sweep and sent me off to the hospital. Dilation is when your cervix opens. It’s measured in centimeters. If your cervix is completely closed, you’re 0 centimeters (cm) dilated. You’re fully dilated once your cervix is 10 cm wide. Effacement is when the cervix shortens, becoming softer and thinner in preparation for your baby's birth. During pregnancy, your cervix is about 3. 5 to 4 centimeters long. So, had my dr appointment today, i am due on the 12th. I am dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced. Still getting regular yucky bh and all that stuff, but still no… So i just had a 36 week check up, i’m 36+3, and upon my first cervix check i’m 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced! Which to me seems like a pretty decent start!

So, had my dr appointment today, i am due on the 12th. I am dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced. Still getting regular yucky bh and all that stuff, but still no… So i just had a 36 week check up, i’m 36+3, and upon my first cervix check i’m 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced! Which to me seems like a pretty decent start! I went in for my 39 week appt this morning and was so happy to find out i was 3 cm dilated, with a soft, thin cervix and 70% effaced. My dr said she thought it might be this week,. They finally induced at 39 weeks and i was only in labor start to finish for two hours and ten minutes. It’s 7:15pm…have been dilated at a 2 for 3 weeks and 75 effaced as of tuesday. I was 3cm 75% effaced at 35w6d but we went vaginally. He did a membrane strip to try to start labor since i had cholestasis. That got me to 5cm by the next day and i went to l&d but labor.
